Alfa Romeo Stelvio Ti and 2019 Giulietta make Geneva debuts

Alfa Romeo show off a range of new models at Geneva, including the Stelvio Ti, the new Giulietta and F1 editions of its Quadrifoglio models

6 Mar 2019

Alfa Romeo has revealed a well-stocked stand at this year's Geneva Motor Show with highlights consisting of the new Stelvio Ti, the new 2019 Giulietta and limited edition versions of the firm's Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglio models wearing the 'Alfa Romeo Racing' F1 livery.

While the firm caused a surprise with the launch of the new Tonale SUV, its stand was also centred around the limited Alfa Romeo Racing editions of the Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglio'. Both models wear the same livery worn by this year's Alfa Romeo F1 car.

Other additions for both models include a pair of Sparco racing seats, an Alcantara steering wheel, a new automatic transmission lever, new alloy wheels (19-inch for the Giulia and 20-inch for the Stelvio), carbon ceramic brakes, red brake calipers, carbon fibre wing mirrors, carbon fibre side skirts and an Akrapovič titanium exhaust system.

Both models make use of Alfa Romeo's 2.9-litre V6 Bi-Turbo petrol engine. Producing 503bhp and 600Nm of torque, this unit allows a top speed of 191mph and a 0–62mph time of 3.9 seconds in the Giulia. The Stevio's figures stand at 176mph and 3.8 seconds respectively.

Alfa Romeo also revived its famous "Turismo Internazionale" badge with the debut of the new Stelvio Ti. Equipped with a 276bhp 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol four-cylinder, mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox and an all-wheel-drive system, the new model is claimed by the Italian firm to have a 0–62mph sprint of 5.7 seconds and a top speed of 143mph.

Additional features which set "warm" Stevio apart from its lower-spec stablemates include yellow brake calipers, a carbon fibre grille, 20-inch alloy wheels, black window frames and exhaust tips, privacy glass and dark "Stevio" and "Q4" badges.

Finally, Alfa Romeo uncovered the new 2019 Giulietta Veloce. Powered by the firm's 168bhp 2.0-litre diesel engine, the updated hatchback gets 18-inch alloy wheels, new front and rear bumpers, yellow Brembo brakes, new side skirts, tinted windows and large twin exhaust pipes.

Inside, the 2019 Giulietta gets Alcantara-trimmed seats with yellow stitching, headrests embroidered with the Alfa Romeo badge, aluminium pedals, a sports steering wheel, a seven-inch infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a rear-view camera and parking sensors.
